Please understand me correctly, I really want to thank you for the help.
However, some things are elementary and, in my opinion, should have solutions other than workarounds.
With this workaround, all developers must implement it. With a standard solution, it would work properly for everyone immediately and without effort.

Hi Wood,
You could try un-ticking the 'allowdelete' option in the tablegrid's editable properties and then putting the 'delete record' action on a right-click menu option (see attached example). Probably other ways as well.

Hi,

If you edit a text in a grid and you have to to delete some chars and therefore push the Del-Key, then you will be asked, if you want to delete the whole record.

Version is 6.4 beta.
