Re: Cancel Form Close (4 replies, posted in General)
Thanks JB, I appreciate the reply, but I need to cancel the close action, if the user clicks the X on top of the window, since I am using autosave (calling a button action to automatically save the values), I am able to show an error, but it still saves the empty fields.
Also, one of the fields I am trying to save is a relationship, the software does not allow null default values for relationships... I think the best and easiest way would be just to cancel the close from being closed...

Is there any way to cancel a form close procedure?
I want to force the user select or enter text in a box. My form has an autosave button called when the form is closed. Hence, is the user does not select a value from a combobox or enter text in a text box, they will be empty.
Thanks indeed.

Thanks indeed. I appreciate it your answer, the only thing is that I really want to learn how to include a variable in the filter property for an item... It will be useful for multiple tasks in my project.

Hi, how are you?
I am working on a project and I need to specify a combobox filter, I need it to show only the records belonging to the parent table. I am trying to use the dbIndex Value from a TableGrid, also I tried with a variable (string and integer), I think the error is in the syntax that I am using for the filter value. I have attached an image to this question, probably it explains it better.
How can I specify a variable for the Filter property in the combobox? or How can I use the TableGrid1.dbItemID value in the Filter property of the combobox?
Thanks for your help...
Have a Blessed Day...

Hi, how are you?
Awesome software. There are only two thing I would really, really, really love to have in this software:
1) Visual Basic.Net Coding Capability.
2) Be able to specify My App graphics such as App icon, button / action icon, not only the ones available from the software but custom ones, probable .ico or .png files will be great.
Is there anyway I can do this, help getting this done, can I do this by myself?
Thanks indeed guys.
