If myvisualdatabase.com/forum shuts down, do you have any methods to save myvisualdatabase.com/forum for backup or offline use, similar to programs like Delphi Ultimate Codebank or Delphi Tips & Tricks Manager?
I tried HTTrack but it wasn't successful. Do you have any suggestions?

It's true that the forum will slowly die out for lack of active members.
I anticipated this a long time ago, ever since Dmitri left, and since then I've created an application (using MVD) in which I've compiled a large number of snippets, as well as a folder I called MVD Tests where I've gathered a huge number of MVD projects in all areas, from which I continue to create new projects.
As for scraping the MVD forum site, I'm not sure if that's even possible. We'll see.

Hello Prahouse family, hello Jean, a while ago I copied the MVD website using HTTrack because I suspected that the forum would eventually disappear. If HTTrack is configured correctly, there's no problem downloading the site, which does take up a few gigabytes of disk space.

I recommend starting in the morning because it takes a few hours to get the site fully loaded.

I used the default settings with HTTTracker and it was running for over 24 hours - it seemed to be picking up links from every corner of the internet and was well over 50gb when I cancelled it 
!
Destiny - I've downloaded your off-line version of the Forum and it is excellent - if the worst comes to the worst and the Forum goes down, at least we will still have this valuable reference.
Additionally, I am using DocFetcher as a 'front-end' search engine for your download and it works pretty well (and no having to wait 30 seconds before the next search!).

Hi Derek, I wanted to keep a record of the forum because it really is a valuable help, it was a pleasure to share this knowledge before it disappears, at least we can continue to follow the advice you gave us and which helped us so much.

I also started in the past to "backup" the forum nut it took a very long time. I used HTTrack but I do not know to configure it.
Anyway thank's Destiny for sharing your file,
The setup is very simple; after entering the URL of the site to download and the destination to save it, you just need to leave everything at the default settings. My download took 10 hours.
