Thanks Derek, No I don’t take it as criticism. I appreciate your feedback and value your opinion you obviously know a lot more on MVD than I do and I’m open to any feedback or suggestions. Yes it can be hard to explain what I’m after without making it sound confusing so I have tried to come up with an analogy for comparison.
Think of it as your garage at home you have Car Care Products or Motorcycle parts, ect you would not have everything listed item by item, but you may throw them all into a bucket and stick a label on it and call it Car Care Products, Now put a QR Code and link to a Pdf with a List of the Important items and a photo, you or anyone could walk past your 3 boxes of Car Care products scan a label and see what is in the box before getting it down. The Bulk database isn’t to keep track stock or identify discrete Parts it’s a quick glimpse at what is in the Storage Bin.
Bin001 = Car Care Products – Carwash, Sponge, micro-fibre cloths, rags,
Bin002 = Car Care Products = DA Polisher, Polish, Wax, Tyre shine
Bin003 = Motorcycle parts - , Brake leaver, Spare seat, engine oil
Bin004 = Cleaning products, Bleach, Window cleaner, ect
Bin005 = Electrical
Bin006 = Plumbing
I managed to create and populate the first two Bins successfully (Bin001) (Bin002), But Now having trouble Creating and adding to Bin003. I moved BinImage1 from BinContents to StorageBins so All items that are in that particular bin would share the same image1 but when I attempt to add Bin003 the image saves but No other data from any other fields are saved into BinContents .
Also have problems when I try to post on the forum I have been getting Sorry! The page could not be loaded.

Hi Derek, Thank you for having a look and the effort that you have gone to, I know in the Real-World: Mixed Cartons are thrown on a Pallet and stuck up on racking. Sorry when I mentioned (Bin location doesn't need to be opened and gone through) I meant the physical Bin, ie. Pallet / Carton
Normal inventory systems treat each item as a standalone record with its own label and location.
Non Stock Bulk Storage each carton contains multiple items, and each pallet contains multiple cartons — often grouped by category (e.g., Plumbing vs Electrical).
Proposing a hierarchical structure:
1. Pallet e.g., Pallet # 12
2. Cartons on Pallet e.g., Carton 1, Carton 2…
3. Category Tag e.g., PLUMBING or ELECTRICAL
4. Contents per Carton itemised list with quantities
Each carton gets:
• A single label with category + QR code
• QR links to a PDF or dashboard showing:
o Carton ID
o Location (Pallet | Shelf | Bin)
o Item breakdown with photos
Each pallet can be scanned as a whole or by carton, depending on how deep the user wants to go.
Normal Inventory Workflow
Each item is treated as a standalone record:
Each part (e.g., wallplate, switch, tape) gets its own label.
Each label includes:
Item name
Quantity
QR code linking to its individual record
Full location path: Bulk Storage | Pallet | Shelf 01 | Bin 01
Result: 20 items = 20 labels on the same bin. Accurate, but cluttered and redundant.
Bulk Holding Workflow (My Proposed System)
Grouping multiple items of the same category (e.g., ELECTRICAL or PLUMBING) into a single bin:
User selects a Bin Number and assigns a Category Tag.
Adds multiple items under that category into the bin.
Generates one label for the bin:
Label title: ELECTRICAL or PLUMBING
QR code links to a PDF or dashboard listing all items inside:

I don't know what happened with my post. Firstly thanks to Derek and Sparrow for your help I really appreciate it. I have used my same sample and have added my latest issue. I'm trying to add a Bulk Storage Location, Where user can add Multiple items to a single Bin Location / Pallet. My last resort would be to use a table grid in edit mode and enter items directly. I'm open to suggestions if i need to use a memo or what ever it takes. The idea is to have a single location where items can be added / removed and a label printed with Items, Qty ect.. QRCode with the Location and a link to a PDF containing a list of items and an image. so the Pallet / Bin location doesn't need to be opened and gone through to see if an item is there.

I need a bit of help with creating a Batch Update Textbox, I need to filter locations and then have the textbox text value sent to all selected items via apply Link button. Screen scaling in MVDB is something that’s tripped me up more times than I care to admit.
I hope this Screen Scale is a starting point for anyone struggling with UI scaling across resolutions.
Feel free to use it, tweak it, break it, rebuild it — whatever suits your project.
If you make improvements, or build other functions I’d love it if you shared them back on the forum so others can benefit too.

Thank you Derek that’s exactly what I was after, as I said this is my second database that I am building. I have no experience with databases or with coding so lots of searching the forum and copying bits and pieces from other samples. I am slowly picking up things here and there but have a long way to go. I really appreciate and welcome feedback and suggestions, I will look at placing my buttons on panels as that makes sense.

Thanks JB This is only my second go at using MVD so I am probably doing a lot of thing wrong.
I have managed to now get the Gif to run with a Panel But now will no longer hide the panel after set time. Do you know if there is another timer i can use to close the Panel.
I have attached another copy, where as the first up load the image would close but would not run the gif,
Now i can run the gif but not close / hide the panel. If you run the sample then remove the // from my code will see what i mean.

I have created a screen with a power button and would like the Gif to load as if the screen has been turned on, I have been able to load one Gif on all forms with on open command, but can not get it to load from button press, I have tried gif that runs once and one on a loop and can not get it to run. any help is appreciated.

I'm new to MVD and databases in general so please be kind lol. I have searched every where and tried lots of different ways with out any luck and now I have come to a stop. I need to calculate on the form Textbox.. I have 3 x Textboxes Cost, Tax GST, and Total Price, All products are calculated at 10% tax rate, I need it to show the GST Tax Value
Cost $45.00, GST $4.50, Total $49.50
